The Pricing Analyst’s primary responsibility is to optimize company pricing strategy. This includes identifying pricing initiatives, performing analysis, and preparing reporting that will maximize company profit. The Pricing Analyst must work very closely with the IT department to implement pricing changes, and will often collaborate with the various database and development teams. The Pricing Analyst is primarily focused on projects that provide immediate value, improve operational efficiency and increase overall profitability. A successful Pricing Analyst utilizes a tool set that consists of: logic, problem solving, mathematics, finance, statistics and programming. Projects may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing the effectiveness of loan structures and adjusting to balance the number of sales with the profit per sale in order to maximize profitability
  • Managing pilot programs to test new strategies as well as analyzing the results of these tests and developing new strategies based upon the results
  • Monitoring the performance of our portfolio, determining and implementing strategies that will help lower default rates
  • Using various datasets to analyze the value of a vehicle and implementing pricing strategies that make sticker prices competitive within the market
  • Analyzing profitability in various segments of the business to determine opportunities for new initiatives


  • Work within a dynamic, fast paced team to analyze all aspects of the business
  • Identify areas for analysis and monitor these areas for trends, shocks and general impacts
  • Design strategies that increase profitability
  • Conduct pilot programs to assess the impact of a new strategy
  • Work closely with IT to implement and test new programs


The Pricing Analyst focuses on identifying and implementing initiatives that help achieve company goals. Our ideal candidate has:

  • A true passion for applying problem solving, finance, and logic to a wide array of problems
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across the organization 

We are additionally looking for candidates with a background or interest in learning the following:

  • Financial theory
  • Databases and query based languages (i.e. SQL)
  • Excel and VBA
  • Statistical programming languages (i.e. R, Matlab) not required but would be a plus
