    DriveTime is currently searching for a knowledgeable and motivated SQA/ QA tester to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity with a great deal of growth potential. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience working as a Manual Tester/ SQA. 

     

    A Day in the Life of a Software Quality Analyst

    As a Software Quality Analyst (SQA) you will partner with engineers on a fast-paced scrum team to lead the QA efforts supporting several applications, designing/executing test plans and test cases of complex frontend and backend systems, preventing testing bottlenecks before they occur, and knowing how to prioritize QA tasks throughout a two-week sprint.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Provide frontend and backend testing, validation, and sign-off for software product development and release readiness
    • Define and manage the testing strategy for each product, from the library of test suites down to the individual test cases
    • Write detailed test plans that cover the user stories’ acceptance criteria and foreseeable edge cases
    • Identify, document and prioritize defects and bugs, and work with the teams to investigate and resolve issues
    • Attend scrum ceremonies
    • Contribute to automation using various languages or tools

    Qualifications

    • Strong agile tester with experience testing N-Tier, web, and mobile applications
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a technically curious drive
    • Uncompromising attention to detail and commitment to quality as demonstrated through past experiences
    • Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable to timelines
    • Experience with testing frontend and backend web API and database objects
    • Able to create SQL queries to create/manipulate test data without assistance
    • Quality advocate able to support multiple applications across multiple systems
    • Familiarity in N-Tier architecture
    • Working understanding of POSTMAN or other API testing tools
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Experience with establishing cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Passionate about continuous learning and growth
    • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript
